The Project

Dehidden is on a mission to pave the way for the next generation of NFTs, to make NFTs about more than just digital art. The next stop on this journey was at ETHDenver 2022, which is the largest and longest-running ETH event in the world.

We worked with Polygon to power a variety of unique experiences from allowing the audience to be part of the minting process to giving them unique memorabilia of this event, let’s dive right into it.

Let It Snow Experience

At ETHDenver2022, Let It Snow was an experience combining the creative mind of the renowned artist Alejandro Glatt and the technical capability of NFTs on Polygon. The project aimed to engage the community and create a fun, unique experience for the audience, by showcasing the creation of personalized NFTs live to them.

While the moments we document through photography are still crucial, the process of taking the picture is no longer a special event in and of itself. This experience was a glimpse into how important life moments and events could be captured in the near future. Over the four days that the experience was live, more than 300 photos were taken and these memories were put on-chain and immortalized instantly.

And all this was possible because of the Dehidden Live Mint Module.

Live Mint Module

The Live Mint Module gave the audience the unique experience of being able to witness the minting process and actually be part of the exciting experience of adding NFTs to the blockchain.

Once the photos are taken, they can be uploaded into the password protected admin panel. These photos are then stored in IPFS, a protocol and peer-to-peer network for storing and sharing data in a distributed file system, it returns an ID using which we can assign it a name, description and other required information.

Once the admin side of this process is over, the user can then see the photo, QR code and a unique 6 digit code on their screen. Upon scanning the QR code the user is taken to the minting site where they are prompted to complete a few simple tasks, once these tasks are completed they can then mint their own unique 1/1 NFTs and all this is absolutely gasless

We are excited and immensely happy to have powered an experience that engaged and brought together such a huge community of people and allowed them to capture and document a little piece of their lives.

Polygon Cards

If you thought NFTs were just a digital asset then we’re here to prove you wrong. The Dehidden Powered Polygon Merch Cards at ETHDenver 2022 is the perfect example of merging the virtual world with reality.

We’ve seen people keep ID cards or tickets as memorabilia from an event, but the attendees at ETHDenver had the chance to keep something cooler. Members who were able to grab hold of the Polygon Merch Cards also had the opportunity to mint a shard of Polygon NFT that gave exclusive access to some even more cool stuff.

How was this made possible? well here comes the Dehidden Phygitals to NFT Module.

Members who were able to get their hands on the Dehidden Powered Polygon Merch Cards could then scan the QR code which led the users to the minting site, upon completion of a few simple tasks the user could then mint their very own Shard Of Polygon NFT.

Possessing the Shard granted them access to a set of unlockables powered by Dehidden, such as exclusive community access, a very cool AR filter, 3D design files of the NFTs etc.

Powering such exciting experiences for the community and unlocking more cool opportunities to use NFTs in real life is exactly what Dehidden is all about.

The Significance

Through this project, we enabled hundreds of people to experience some unique utilities of NFTs opening them up to a world of possibilities.

Be it live minting some extra special memories onto the chain and completely changing the way we look back at important life events and immortalizing every experience, or bringing the URL to IRL and carrying home an exciting reminder of this wonderful event.
